Turmeric, ginger, cinnamon and sunflower seed butter

We love nut butter and we love to change things up. Whenever you feel like you need something a bit more exciting than peanut butter, give our moreish spiced sunflower seed butter a try.

MAKES 350 ml // COOKING TIME 25 min

250 g sunflower seeds
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground ginger
1 tbsp turmeric
½ tsp salt
¼ cup coconut oil

1. Preheat oven to 160°C.
2. Place the sunflower seeds on an oven tray and roast for 10 minutes, or until lightly toasted. Remove and allow to cool slightly.
3. Place all the ingredients, except the coconut oil, in a food processor and blend until the mixture starts to clump together.
4. Add the oil and blend until it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency. This should take about 10 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
5. Place in an airtight jar and store in the fridge.
