Avocado margaritas

Yes, you read right! We made a tequila treat with everyone’s absolute favourite fruit. Our unique take on the classic is perfect for a Mexican-themed menu. Enjoy our avocado margaritas at cocktail hour this weekend, served with tortilla chips, salsa and enchiladas.


2 avocados, peeled and cubed
1L ice
250 ml tequila
120 ml Cointreau (or other orange liqueur)
120 ml fresh lime juice
Pinch salt
1–2 tbsp agave nectar (to taste)
Fresh jalapeño, sliced (to taste)
Lime wedges, to serve

1. Place avocado, ice, tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and salt in a blender. Blend until smooth.
2. Add agave nectar to sweeten and jalapeño slices for some heat. Blend until smooth.
3. Decorate 4 glasses by running a lime wedge around the rims and then dipping in salt.
4. Pour the margarita mix into the glasses. Serve immediately.
