Winter may be over, but you need to continue giving your body all the right vitamins and minerals throughout the year. Give your body a boost with these quick and easy vitamin juices.
1. Green juice
INGREDIENTS
1 pineapple (±260 g), peeled and chopped
1 lemon, peeled
½ cucumber
¼ cup mint
2 cups coconut water
METHOD
1. Blitz all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Strain through a thin cloth and squeeze out all the liquid.
2. Serve with ice.
2. Beetroot juice
INGREDIENTS
1 large grapefruit, peeled and chopped
3 small beetroots, peeled and quartered
2 cups coconut water
½ tsp salt
METHOD
1. Blitz all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Strain through a thin cloth and squeeze out all the liquid.
2. Serve with ice.
3. Hot apple juice
INGREDIENTS
3 Golden Delicious apples, quartered
1 tbsp honey
4 cm ginger, peeled
1 lemon, peeled and chopped
1 cinnamon stick
METHOD
1. Blitz all ingredients, except the cinnamon stick, in a blender until smooth. Strain through a thin cloth and squeeze out all the liquid.
2. Pour the juice into a pot. Add the cinnamon and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes.
3. Serve hot.
4. Super orange juice
INGREDIENTS
1 orange sweet potato, peeled and roughly chopped
1 orange, peeled and chopped
5 carrots, peeled and chopped
1 lemon, peeled and chopped
¼ rockmelon, peeled and seeded
4 cm ginger, peeled
2 cups water
METHOD
1. Blitz all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Strain through a thin cloth and squeeze out all the liquid.
2. Serve with ice.
