The promise of sparkling bubbles, elegant food and stylish attire will entice Champagne lovers and socialites alike to visit this year’s Franschhoek Cap Classique and Champagne Festival. In celebrating ‘The Magic of Bubbles’, attendees are encouraged to dress according to theme, Black and White with a Floral Flair, and one lucky couple will be rewarded a R5 000 Mastercard gift card for dressing the part.

Inside the grand marquee, many local MCCs will be on display alongside a selection of top French Champagnes. Look out for SA sparkling wine from Pierre Jourdan, Morena, Môreson, La Motte, Boschendal, Colmant, Leopard’s Leap, Noble Hill, Plaisir de Merle, Anthonij Rupert Wines, JC le Roux, Pongracz, Simonsig, Steenberg and Villiera. And from the French, Piper Heidsieck, Champagne Guy Charbaut and Veuve Clicquot.

After sipping on champers, the array of food offerings will be delightful. Bread & Wine, Haute Cabrière, Le Franschhoek, L’Ermitage, The Restaurant at Grande Provence and Mont Rochelle are only some of Franschhoek’s world-class restaurants that will round up the menu.

So gather your festive outfits and ready your palate for a magical weekend in the Cape Winelands.
