One benefit of being a grown-up? You can treat yourself to creamy, boozy dessert cocktails after dinner.
1. Amarula Dom Pedro
MAKES 1
INGREDIENTS
2 shots Amarula
2 shots vanilla ice cream
1 shot cream
Cocoa powder, to dust
METHOD
1. Blend together Amarula, ice cream and cream.
2. Pour into a low-ball glass. Garnish with cocoa powder.
2. Pumpkin-spice Kahlúa
MAKES 1
INGREDIENTS
2 shots cream
1 shot Kahlúa
1 shot dark rum
½ tsp ground ginger
½ tsp ground cinnamon
Cinnamon sugar, to serve
Cinnamon stick, to garnish
METHOD
1. Pour the cream, Kahlúa, rum, ginger and cinnamon into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well.
2. Strain into a Martini glass rimmed with cinnamon sugar. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
3. Bailey’s and orange
MAKES 1
INGREDIENTS
2 shots Bailey’s Irish Cream
1 shot Grand Marnier
Orange rind, to garnish
METHOD
1. Pour Bailey’s and Grand Marnier into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well.
2. Pour into a low-ball glass. Garnish with a curl of orange rind.
4. Strawberries and cream
MAKES 1
INGREDIENTS
2 shots strawberry liqueur
1 shot gin
1 shot milk
Strawberry, to garnish
METHOD
1. Pour strawberry liqueur, gin and milk into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well.
2. Strain into a Martini glass. Garnish with a strawberry.
