Food has many different meanings and associations for everyone. For some, it’s sustenance, while for others it’s a way of life, and has even become an art form. Celebrate World Food Day with us today.

Each year World Food Day aims to bring awareness around global hunger and those who do not have access to food. The World Food Programme and other organisations aim to promote Zero Hunger – a project aimed at ensuring that no one is left hungry or without food in 15 years.
To take part, we’ve decided to round up some of our favourite global recipes to remind you of the versatility and wonder of food, while remembering that food should never be taken for granted.
1. Chicken curry bunny chow with carrot pickle
3. Crispy fish tacos with corn salsa
4. Spiced hot beverages inspired by the Middle East
7. Dutch baby pancakes with lemon butter and poached pears
8. Persian-spiced lamb shanks with Bukhari rice
10. Pistachio and pine nut halva
