Whether you’re a local or just visiting the Mother City over the festive season, the V&A Radisson Blu’s Breakers Brunch is summer must.

Tobago’s Restaurant, Bar and Terrace at the Radisson Blu on the Waterfront in Cape Town now offers a spectacular Dubai-style brunch, an al fresco dining experience that offers not only amazing food, but also uninterrupted views of the ocean and the marina.
You will be greeted at the entrance with a glass of bubbling Prosecco and escorted to your table where your menu awaits.
Starters are served buffet style and you can choose as many canape-sized options as your desire from their oyster bar, sushi bar or the brunch station with plenty of Mediterranean flair. There is also a wide selection of freshly made bread with a cheese board and preserves (chef Norman’s orange marmalade is a must-try).
Mains are served at your table, and by now you’ve probably finished your bubbly, so it is definitely the time to order one of the delicious slushie cocktails. You can choose any three main and the delicious options range from cajun calamari strips and chimichurri sirloin steaks to wagu beef burgers and Karoo lamb chops. These are served with two sides of your choice, and I would definitely recommend the rustic chips and the pan-fried seasonal veggies.
Dessert is also a buffet affair with a table laden with indulgent delights and a doughnut wall. Definitely save space for this because it’s a real treat with canape portions of pavlova, vanilla panna cotta, tiramisu and more on offer. In addition to the mini dessert offerings, you can also have your pick of chocolate truffles, marshmallows, coconut ice, macaron, rocky road and all the other sweets you can imagine.
Come hungry, and remember, bookings are essential.
