Hot diggity dog! Take it easy this weekend and prepare a batch of these gourmet avo dogs for the fam instead of a big Sunday lunch.
MAKES 6 // COOKING TIME 15 min
INGREDIENTS
½ small green cabbage, finely sliced
½ small red cabbage, finely sliced
2 apples or pears, julienned
1 bunch spring onions, sliced
¼ cup chopped gherkins
¼ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup sour cream
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp mustard
Salt and pepper
6 Frankfurters
6 hot-dog rolls
2 avocados, sliced, to serve
METHOD
1. To make the coleslaw, mix first 9 ingredients and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper.
2. Fry sausages for a few minutes until crispy.
3. Serve sausages on the rolls, topped with coleslaw and avo.
