Having guests over for a braai or a light and summery lunch this weekend? No starter will go down so well as a this smoked snoek pâté served with a selection of crackers, cheese, pickles and fresh fruit.
SERVES 8 // HANDS-ON 10 min
INGREDIENTS
200g smoked snoek, skin and bones removed, flesh flaked
250g smooth cottage cheese
1 onion, peeled and finely chopped
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
2 tbsp chopped parsley
Salt and pepper
METHOD
1. Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Season. Serve with the mushroom and thyme scones.
