INGREDIENTS
250g maize meal
2 tbsp finely chopped parsley
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
1 tbsp yeast
Pinch of salt
1 carrot, peeled and grated
METHOD
1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Add 250 ml warm water and knead for about 10 minutes, until smooth. Place in a greased enamel or glass bowl.
2. Bring 1½L water to boil in a pot. Place the bowl of dough over the pot, cover and leave it to steam for 45 minutes, until cooked. Use a knife to test if the bread is cooked through.
