Pierre Jourdan wine popsicles landing 1 September 2016

Say cheers because summer is around the corner, PJ Pops are almost here, and we couldn’t be happier. Boozy popsicles have certainly made the rounds these past two years and are definitely still bang on trend. What hasn’t been done in SA, however, is a home-grown, wine-based pop that will be landing on local shelves in just a few days.

Wine and pops

You will be able (with difficulty, we are sure) to choose between two popsicles made from highly acclaimed wines from Haute Cabrière in Franschhoek. Both are inspired by the cellar’s notorious Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blend. If you love bubbly, go for the Pierre Jourdan Brut popsicle, a Cap Classique that is crisp and stimulating. More of a still wine person? Reach for the Pierre Jourdan Tranquille pop, distinguished by its fruitiness and dry finish.

‘We take our wine seriously, but we also want people to have fun with wine, to be enthusiastic about wine, and we see the PJ Pops as a fantastic way to do that, says cellar master, Takuan von Arnim. And not only are these wine pops fun and tasty, they are competitive too, with a recommended retail price of only R25.00.

Want to get your hands on one? Visit www.cabrière.co.za on 1 September for a full list of PJ Pops’ stockists. We certainly know what we’ll be doing come Thursday.
