What could be better than spending the day on a farm filled with activities to keep the kids busy while you sip on cool ciders and superb wine? Hop on, and join the fun at this year’s Cluver Family Harvest Day.
By Jana du Plessis
Choose between kicking off the celebrations at the Cape Town station, taking the scenic train ride through Somerset West to Elgin, or you can make your way through in your own vehicle. But the biggest perk of taking the train? Upon arrival in Elgin, a fleet of John Deere tractors will be waiting to transport you to the final destination. The kids will just love it!
The day will be filled with fun games like sack races and bobbing for apples (for the little ones, of course) and the artisanal food on offer will include cheese, charcuterie, gourmet sandwiches and more. Live music will keep spirits high throughout the day.
