<p class="p1"><b>INGREDIENTS<br />
</b><b>2 bottles </b>red wine<br />
<b>2 cups</b> water<br />
<b>½ cup</b> honey<br />
Juice of <b>4</b> lemons<br />
<b>8</b> cloves<br />
<b>4 </b>cardamom pods<br />
<b>2</b> cinnamon sticks<br />
<b>2</b> star anise pods<br />
<b>½ </b>orange, sliced</p>
<p class="p1"><b>METHOD<br />
</b><b>1.</b> Add the wine, water, honey and lemon juice to a large pot over low heat. Stir until heated through and the honey is dissolved.<br />
<b>2.</b> Add the spices and simmer gently for 15–20 minutes, until fragrant.<br />
<b>3.</b> Pass through a sieve to remove the spices and return to the stove to heat through.<br />
<b>4. </b>Drop an orange slice into the bottom of each of your six glasses and pour the glühwein over. Serve immediately.</p>

</b><b>1¼ cups</b> sugar<br />
Zest and peel of<b> 1</b> orange<br />
<b>3</b> star anise pods<br />
<b>5</b> cloves<br />
<b>5 cm</b> ginger, sliced<br />
<b>750 ml</b> white wine</p>
<p class="p1"><b>METHOD<br />
</b><b>1. </b>Add all the ingredients, except the wine, to a heavy-based pot.<br />
<b>2. </b>Heat gently until the sugar has dissolved, then bring to a boil.<br />
<b>3.</b> Remove from the heat and whisk in the wine. Set aside to mull for 20 minutes. Remove the peel and spices.<br />
<b>4.</b> When ready to serve, reheat the mulled wine, without boiling.</p>

<b>1 tbsp</b> ground cinnamon<br />
<b>1 tbsp</b> ground nutmeg<br />
<b>1 tbsp</b> ground ginger<br />
<b>3 tbsp</b> honey<br />
<b>60 ml</b> sugar<br />
Juice of <b>1</b> lemon</p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2"><b>METHOD<br />
</b></span><b>1.</b> Place the wine in a large, heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat.<br />
<span class="s2"><b>2.</b> Pierce the orange a few times with a fork, then cut it </span>in half. Add it to the wine.<br />
<b>3.</b> Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes, constantly <span class="s2">stirring with a whisk.</span> <span class="s2">Do not let the wine boil.<br />
</span><b>4.</b> Reduce the heat and keep the wine just below a simmer for 45 minutes.<br />
<span class="s2"><b>5.</b> Ladle your glühwein into mugs and serve hot.</span></p>
