Because of its eco-friendly approach to farming and cheese making, De Pekelaar Kaas is able to produce a natural product with no preservatives, colourants or flavourants, and that is suitable for vegetarians. In other words: Just good old fashioned cheese!

In other words: Just good old fashioned cheese!

At De Pekelaar, they believe that in order to make an exceptional product, you require more than just a winning recipe. You need to start with the finest, quality ingredients, follow strict hygiene practices and be passionate about what you do.

Their milk comes from a local Dutch supplier with a great passion for his cows and craft. They are mainly Jerseys, Guernsey and Red Friesland cows. Their cows have never received any growth or milk production increase hormones, nor do they receive any unnecessary antibiotics. Happy cows make good healthy milk which, in turn, is transformed into exceptional cheese.

With the Traditional Boerenkaas that we specialise in, we have opted for a cheese with universal appeal with its smooth velvety texture, only to be broken with small gas eyes in the old tradition.

Click here to browse their range and to find out where you can get your hands on their award-winning products.
