<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Combine eggs, onion, chilli, turmeric, salt, parsley and milk in a deep plate.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Add 3 Tbsp ghee to a pan over medium heat.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Soak each bread slice in the mixture, turning after 10 seconds.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Add bread to the pan, spooning on some extra onion pieces from the custard, and fry until golden, about 2-3 minutes a side.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Remove and cool on kitchen towel </span>to drain.<span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Add another 2 Tbsp of ghee and repeat frying with the remaining slices of bread, coating each with extra onion and parsley if needed.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Quick-fry the tomatoes in the same hot pan for 1 minute until blistered, remove.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Add oil to a clean pan over high heat.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Crack one egg into the pan, then scatter sesame seeds along the edges.</span></li>

<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Whisk together the eggs, milk or cream, salt and pepper. Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture until it is evenly soaked.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Fry the bread for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.</span></li>

<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Melt the butter in a heavy-based pot, then remove from the heat and stir in the flour, mustard, salt and pepper until smooth.</span></li>

<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Place the potatoes in the pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook for 10–15 minutes or until potatoes are easily pierced with a knife but not falling apart. Remove from the heat, drain, and set aside until cool enough to handle. Cut the potatoes into 1 cm rounds and set aside.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Heat a pan over a high heat. Cook the bacon until browned. Drain the bacon and set aside. Lower the heat to a medium heat and in the same pan add the butter. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 5 minutes until golden brown. Add the bacon and wine and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Combine the sour cream and cream together in a bowl. Add the bacon and potatoes and mix to coat.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Place half of the potato mix in a 2-litre ovenproof dish. Spread half the cheese slices on top of the potato. Cover this with the other half of the potato mixture. Top with the remainder of the cheese. Bake in the hot oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbling. Season and serve hot.</span></li>

<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Preheat oven to 180°C. </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Heat the oil in a large Dutch oven or heavy-based pot. Cook the bacon over medium heat for about 3 minutes, until crisp and browned. Transfer with a slotted spoon to a large dish and set aside.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Pat the beef dry with a paper towel. In the same pot, sear the beef in batches until browned on all sides. Remove from the pot and add to the bacon.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> In the same pot, cook the carrots and onions until softened. Add 4 minced garlic cloves and cook for 1 minute. Return the bacon and beef back into the pot and season. Sprinkle with flour, toss well and cook for 4–5 minutes to brown.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Add the baby onions, wine and stock so that the meat is barely covered. Add the tomato paste and herbs. Bring to a simmer on the stove. Cover and transfer into the oven and simmer for 2–3 hours, or until the meat is tender</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Heat the butter in a pan over a high heat. Add the remaining 2 cloves garlic and cook until fragrant. Add in the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes. Season well. Add the mushrooms to the beef and stir.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Serve the Boeuf Bourguignon garnished with parsley and serve with mashed potatoes or rice.</span></li>

¼ cup (50g) brown sugar<br />
1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract<br />
Cocoa powder, for dusting</p>
<p><em>For the mascarpone cream</em></p>
<p>¼ cup (60ml) double cream<br />
1 tub (250g) mascarpone<br />
¼ cup (30g) icing sugar<br />
1 tsp (5ml) vanilla essence</p>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">Preheat oven to 180°C. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Cut bread loaf in half widthways. Set the bottom section aside for another use. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Slice top half into 1cm slices (about 11-12), then divide all slices into two.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">In a bowl whisk together milk, cooled coffee, eggs, sugar and vanilla extract. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Place a round 20cm oven-safe dish on your work surface. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Dip both sides of each piece of bread into the milk mixture, working quickly to avoid it getting too soggy. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Arrange slices in your dish and pour excess liquid into the base. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Bake for 20 minutes, until tops of the bread are crispy. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Combine mascarpone ingredients and set aside. (The runny mixture will thicken after a few minutes.) </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>

<ol>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Heat oil in a large pan and sauté mushrooms for 3-5 minutes.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Add butter and thyme, and fry for another 2 minutes. Remove and set aside.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Place 4 slices of ciabatta onto a chopping board and spread each slice with cream cheese.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Divide cooked mushrooms, corn and sun dried tomatoes between each slice.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Top with remaining ciabatta slices to enclose and form a sandwich, pressing down to secure the filling</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Whisk together eggs, milk and parsley until combined. Season well.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Heat oil in a large pan.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Carefully dip each sandwich into egg mixture, making sure to coat evenly and fry for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden.</span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Slice and serve immediately.</span></li>

<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Heat oil or butter in a large pan and fry French toast in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden. </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Drain on paper towel and serve with toppings of your choice. </span></li>
