<p class="p1"><b>1. TULIPS</b></p>
<p class="p1"><b>Taste:</b> Watermelon and dust combined<br />
<b>Cook with it:</b> It pairs well with watercress and Chevin<br />
<b>Try it in our:</b> <em><a href="https://mykitchen.co.za/2016/09/strawberry-salad-with-goats-cheese-croutons/">Strawberry salad with goat’s cheese croutons </a></em></p>

<p class="p1"><b>2. MARIGOLDS</b></p>
<p class="p1"><b>Taste:</b> Peppery with a subtle hint of honey<br />
<b>Cook with it:</b> The pepperiness complements Malay-style curries and beef tartar.<br />
<b>Try it in our:</b> <em><a href="https://mykitchen.co.za/2017/06/butter-chicken-prawn-curry-2/">Butter chicken and prawn curry</a></em></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-3844 aligncenter" src="https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Butter-chicken-and-prawn-curry.jpg" alt="Butter chicken and prawn curry" width="1024" height="1024" srcset="https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Butter-chicken-and-prawn-curry.jpg 1024w, https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Butter-chicken-and-prawn-curry-80x80.jpg 80w, https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Butter-chicken-and-prawn-curry-300x300.jpg 300w, https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Butter-chicken-and-prawn-curry-768x768.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p class="p1"><b>3. HIBISCUS</b></p>
<p class="p1"><b>Taste:</b> Musk and red currant<br />
<b>Cook with it:</b> Infuse it in boiling water to make a tea or make them into tempura hibiscus petals.<br />
<b>Try it in our:</b> <em>Hibiscus iced tea flirtini cocktails</em></p>
<figure id="attachment_2941" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-2941" style="width: 600px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img decoding="async" class="size-large wp-image-2941" src="https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Flirtini-824x1030.jpg" alt="Flirtini" width="600" height="750" srcset="https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Flirtini-824x1030.jpg 824w, https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Flirtini-240x300.jpg 240w, https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Flirtini-768x960.jpg 768w, https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Flirtini.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-2941" class="wp-caption-text">Flirtini</figcaption></figure>
<p class="p1"><b>4. LAVENDER</b></p>
<p class="p1"><b>Taste:</b> Sweet and earthy with tannins on the palate<br />
<b>Cook with it:</b> Since it is so pungent, when you are using it to infuse creams or jellies, only use the leaves and young stems. It is also lovely in dark hot chocolate.<br />
<b>Try it in our:</b> <em><a href="https://mykitchen.co.za/2017/06/salted-caramel-hot-chocolate/">Salted caramel hot chocolate</a></em></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-large wp-image-3786 aligncenter" src="https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Salted-caramel-hot-chocolate-1030x1030.jpg" alt="Salted caramel hot chocolate" width="600" height="600" srcset="https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Salted-caramel-hot-chocolate-1030x1030.jpg 1030w, https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Salted-caramel-hot-chocolate-80x80.jpg 80w, https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Salted-caramel-hot-chocolate-300x300.jpg 300w, https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Salted-caramel-hot-chocolate-768x768.jpg 768w, https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Salted-caramel-hot-chocolate.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p class="p1"><b>5. ROSES<br />
</b><b>Taste:</b> Any sweetness actually comes from the aroma of the flower. A fresh petal is quite bitter.<br />
<b>Cook with it:</b> Use the petals in a fresh summery salad or dessert and remember to remove the white bit at the bottom of each petal to get rid of most of the bitterness.<br />
<b>Try it in our:</b> <em><a href="https://mykitchen.co.za/2016/09/bananaberry-and-lemon-curd-pavlovas/">Banana, berry and lemon curd pavlovas</a></em></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-764" src="https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Banana-and-berry-pavlova.jpg" alt="" width="700" height="700" srcset="https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Banana-and-berry-pavlova.jpg 700w, https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Banana-and-berry-pavlova-80x80.jpg 80w, https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Banana-and-berry-pavlova-300x300.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p class="p1"><b>6. WISTERIA<br />
</b><b>Taste:</b> Sweet nectar and grapes<br />
<b>Cook with it:</b> It is great with Brie, asparagus, as a jam or served with scones and whipped cream.<br />
<b>Try it in our:</b> <em>Beetroot pizza with asparagus and Emmental</em></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3983" src="https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Beetroot-pizza-with-asparagus-and-Emmental.jpg" alt="Beetroot pizza with asparagus and Emmental" width="720" height="720" srcset="https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Beetroot-pizza-with-asparagus-and-Emmental.jpg 720w, https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Beetroot-pizza-with-asparagus-and-Emmental-80x80.jpg 80w, https://mykitchen.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Beetroot-pizza-with-asparagus-and-Emmental-300x300.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></p>
