Here are four fun and interesting viral trends we found on TikTok that we cannot wait to try out:

The butter board

While we are still making charcuterie boards for every occasion, there is a new trend in town, and it’s called butter boards. Butter boards seem to be going viral and quickly filling up your TikTok ‘For You’ page. But what exactly are butter boards? Softened butter is decoratively smeared on a board and filled with different toppings like figs, nuts, edible flowers, spices or honey to present a beautiful aesthetic. Serve your butter board with delicious warm artisanal breads of your choice. There is no ‘butter’ time to try this trend!

Cookie baked oatmeal

Whether you love or loathe it, oats remain the number one breakfast choice for many. We’ve all tried making oats more exciting to eat (hello, overnight oats and oats pancakes), so why not try the cookie-baked oatmeal? It’s like eating a dessert for breakfast, only healthier as it’s only sweetened with chocolate chips and bananas. Chances are you already have all the ingredients in your pantry. It comes as no surprise that this recipe went viral on TikTok.

Air fryer cheesy corn ‘ribs’

As a little boy’s declaration of his love for corn has gone viral recently , we share his sentiment with this TikTok trend for a delicious side dish or snack. Even better? You cook the corn in an air fryer – everyone’s favourite and most convenient kitchen appliance of late. Simply divide the corn cob into quarters, cover it with cheese and experiment with different herbs, spices and lots of butter. Pop it in the air fryer until the corn is golden, and you get crunchy and juicy corn ‘ribs’.

Move over, dalgona coffee – that’s the coffee TikTok trend that had everybody excited while stuck at home during the Covid pandemic in 2020. We’ve found a fruitier drink trend that we can’t wait to try. All you need is lemons, condensed milk, whipped cream and a garnish of your choice. This zesty, sweet, refreshing drink is a must for the upcoming hot summer days!
